§R · RESEARCH USE POLICY
Reference standards. In vitro only.
Everything Ion Labs sells is sold as an analytical reference standard for laboratory research. None of it is a drug, supplement, cosmetic, or therapeutic — none of it has been evaluated by the FDA — and none of it may be administered to a human or animal under any circumstances. This page documents the framing under which all materials are supplied and the attestation every purchaser makes at checkout.
What is sold
Ion Labs is a specialized chemical supplier of lyophilized peptide reference standards. Each material is sold as a chemical reagent for in vitro analytical work — HPLC method development, mass-spectrometry calibration, receptor binding assays, antibody validation, and similar laboratory applications. No part of the inventory is offered as a drug product, dietary supplement, cosmetic, or therapeutic article.
What is not sold
Ion Labs is not a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy. We do not compound, prescribe, dispense, or fulfill therapeutic orders. We do not provide dosing guidance, reconstitution protocols for human administration, clinical recommendations, or any information that would enable the use of these materials in or on a human or animal subject.
FDA framing
These products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The "For Laboratory Research Only" mark printed on every vial label and shipping document is a substantive restriction, not a slogan.
Purchaser responsibilities
Sale, possession, transport, and use of analytical reference standards may be regulated under federal, state, and local law depending on the material and the purchaser's jurisdiction. The purchaser is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable regulations, institutional policies, IRB or IACUC requirements where relevant, and chain-of-custody documentation within their own facility.
Refusal of sale
Ion Labs reserves the right to refuse, delay, or cancel any order when there is reasonable indication that materials would be used outside research-use scope, when the purchaser cannot complete the attestation in good faith, or when fulfillment would violate applicable law. Refunds are issued in full when an order is declined.
§R.A · RESEARCHER ATTESTATION
Every order, attested at checkout.
By submitting an order, the purchaser affirmatively represents the following statements. The attestation is logged with the order record and bound to the lot identifier of every vial shipped.
I am 21 years of age or older.
I am a qualified researcher purchasing on behalf of myself, an academic institution, a contract research organization, or a commercial laboratory.
I will use the purchased material exclusively for in vitro analytical research and laboratory work.
I will not introduce the purchased material into a human or animal subject, nor permit any other person under my direction or supervision to do so.
I will store and dispose of the purchased material in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and with institutional policies that apply to my work.
I understand that Ion Labs makes no representation regarding suitability of these materials for any human or veterinary application, and I assume full responsibility for compliance with all laws that apply to my purchase and use.
Questions about scope
Researchers with questions about whether a planned application falls inside the research-use scope, or institutions with internal procurement requirements that need adjusted attestation language, should contact research@ionhealthlabs.com before placing an order. Adjusted attestation language is supported on a case-by-case basis for institutional buyers.
